A Qing coastal fort on Cihou hill at the northern tip of Cijin, built to guard the harbour entrance.

History

The Qing built a modern fort here after the Japanese expedition of 1874, to a plan by the British engineer H. W. Harwood, and installed Armstrong guns in 1880. It has fortified barracks around a courtyard and a battery of four gun positions. In October 1895 Japanese warships fired on the forts and troops took them the same day.
