A gate tower built in 1755 on the east side of the Hakka village of Minong, now Meinong.

History

It was built as a defence for the village's east side and destroyed in 1895 during armed resistance to the Japanese takeover. Local merchants and gentry rebuilt it in 1937, and during the Pacific War an air-raid bell was added on top, then removed after the war. The county listed it as a historic monument in 2000.
