Hamasen to Cijin by Ferry

Start in Hamasen, the old harbour quarter, with three family stalls that each sell one or two things. After a morning at Sizihwan, cross on the ferry and end with a seafood dinner at the quiet southern end of Cijin.
Getting there
Take the MRT Orange Line to Hamasen (O1) or the Light Rail to Hamasen station. The Gushan ferry pier is a short walk away, and the boat to Cijin takes about 5 minutes.
On the way
- Takao British Consulate: A 19th-century red-brick consulate on the hill above Sizihwan, with views over the harbour mouth.
- Cijin Lighthouse and beach: Climb to the lighthouse, then walk the black-sand beach before heading south.
