History
Japanese police brought the Butoku Kai martial arts to Taiwan, and this hall was finished in 1924 for kendo and judo. After 1945 the city police used it. It was listed as a monument in 1999, restored by the end of 2004, and in 2005 handed to a kendo association. It is described as the first monument in Taiwan returned to its original use.
